Kate and Sofie are qualified Public Health Nutritionists. They met while studying for their Masters (MSc) in Public Health Nutrition at the world-renowned London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and are  both experienced Registered Nutritionists (RNutr) with the national professional register held by the Association for Nutrition.


Kate has a great passion for food and is keen to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with as many people as possible. Kate’s interest in food started in her family kitchen where she often helped her Mum to cook healthy and wholesome meals for the whole family.

Having studied Food Science and Nutrition BSc (Hons) at Queen’s University, Belfast, Kate developed her understanding of the interactions between foods and the impact they can have on the body. She further developed her knowledge of nutrition and achieved an MSc in Public Health Nutrition.  

Kate has almost 10 years experience working in the field of food and nutrition.  She has worked within the food industry, managing the quality and safety of food products; and within the community delivering and commissioning public health services. Kate wants to bring all her skills and knowledge together to help translate food and nutrition evidence into practical and exciting information for all.  


Loves all things food. From understanding the impact that it can have on our physical and mental wellbeing to considering the future sustainability of the food we eat.

Sofie has worked in the field of Public Health Nutrition for a number of years and has a special interest in early years nutrition, weight management and work place health. She has delivered, led and commissioned community nutrition and wider health services and has an in-depth understanding of nutrition-based health prevention strategies.

As well as completing a Masters in Public Health Nutrition she also has a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Birmingham. Sofie has a great deal of knowledge around physical activity and can provide useful tips on how to build it into your daily routine.

Sofie is passionate about translating nutritional research into meaningful and user-friendly healthy eating guidance.
